*Note: in their Motion to Dismiss, KDFA relied entirely on the new indictments the DA charged Edward with -- AFTER the article and broadcast were reported. They do not yet know that the DA is dropping the Failure to Appear Indictment because it fails legally as a matter of law. Edward never evaded and there was never a notice for Edward to appear anywhere. This criminal charge does not include bond compliance issues, which is what Edward had revoked on Feb 2, 2026. That is not a Failure to Appear. This is why the DA is now dropping those charges. Edward cannot notify the court for this defamation case until the DA officially drops it on the judicial record.*
