2020 - Edward pled not guilty and retained Dunham and Jones law firm. Over the next two years, they assigned him three different attorneys; communication was minimal. Edward told all three attorneys that his mom and stepbrother lived with him on the night in question and were eyewitnesses that Becca was never there that night. She had already moved out and back in with Geoff.

Feb 2021 - Edward achieves sobriety and becomes a sobriety peer counselor.

Feb 2022 - Edward and Kelly get married.
2022 - Edward was assigned Andrew Spoon as his final trial counsel. He sent Spoon his personal statement that outlined how he knew Becca was lying to protect her long-time roommate/boyfriend Geoff. This included Edward witnessing Becca and Geoff plan a coverup story to police about an incident where Geoff "fired shots" in an Amarillo apartment complex. Geoff was on probation during that time and during the time Kailey made the allegations against Edward to police.

2023 - The year goes by with almost no communication from Edward's trial counsel.

2024 - The case proceeded to trial. Andrew Spoon never requested or investigated Edward's statement about Becca lying to police 5 months before she alleged the assault by Edward. He appeared to have no defense strategy. He told Edward not to testify because the 2003 conviction would be used against him to make him look like a threatening sexual predator.

2024 - The jury only heard Becca's story and was not informed of key facts that would have undoubtedly altered their verdict. Edward was convicted, sentenced to 5 years, and released post-conviction on bond pending appeal.

2025 - The appellate court issued the mandate upholding his conviction on July 8, 2025.

November 2025 - They matched Edward's description to a shooting on May 7, 2019 where the victim was shot and later died from his wounds. This website announces this on our TikTok account.

November 2025 - Becca posts on this TikTok account that Edward never witnessed "that call with the DA" because she was at work, confirming she was interviewed.
November - December 2025 Present - Edward's wife requested police records of basic names in the 2019 incident to confirm this was the case where Becca lied.
January 2, 2026 - The Amarillo Police Department confirmed Becca was interviewed in connection to the homicide.

January 7, 2026 - Edward filed a Supplement to his Habeas Corpus with the newly confirmed evidence that was suppressed by the State and never sought by Edward's trial counsel. In a case where it was her word only, this was highly impeachable evidence the jury never heard.

Present - Post-conviction proceedings are underway as additional facts surrounding the case continue to emerge.
