About
My name is Edward James
Hello and welcome to my site. When I was 19, I spent 6 years in prison for a charge I did not commit. This wrongful incarceration released me with nothing but my family to rely on - and they were in no way prepared for (nor capable of) handling everything that came with the effects of this prison sentence. I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and depression for which I immediately took to alcohol - to numb what had happened. For a decade I drank heavily (which almost killed me twice) and finally came into contact with a nonprofit organization that helped me get sober and deal with the realities of what had happened. I was able to attain sobriety, become a Certified SMART Recovery Facilitator, life coach, mentor multiple other people, manage the Sober Living House that I had started in, and so much more.

My mission with Phoenix Reformation is to start at the root of each individual who has been affected by mental health and substance abuse to help them build a solid foundation and live a fruitful life. As someone who has overcome both substance abuse and mental health, there is no better candidate to help you and your loved ones. I have been to several 'Mental Health Professionals' and doctors who have licenses and doctoral degrees, and some of them are great. However, I am here to tell you that talking to someone who has lived it and overcame the struggle is a much different ball game. By choosing to get help from with Phoenix Reformation, I know that you will have peace, prosperity, and the power to overcome anything that is put in front of you.
